Why now

Two realities you know

The EU AI Act is one side. The other is the strategic reality: those who use AI without a foundation pay significantly more later.

The regulatory reality

What the EU AI Act demands

  • Article 4 has required, since February 2025, every company using AI to verifiably train its employees in AI competency
  • Operator obligations per Art. 26 must be documented, monitored and verifiably fulfilled
  • Fines up to €35M or 7% of global annual revenue for violations
  • Authorities can request evidence at any time - you need to respond within hours
The strategic reality

What happens without a foundation

  • Employees use ChatGPT, Copilot and other AI systems with company data without anyone tracking it
  • AI projects started without governance must be upgraded retroactively - that costs three to five times more than getting it right from the start
  • Customers and tenders require EU AI Act proof that you can't deliver today
  • Every new AI use case increases risk without anyone keeping oversight

Internal vs. External

Why external is the smarter choice

Building EU AI Act expertise internally sounds doable. But by the time real expertise is in place, time has run out. Here's the direct comparison.

Criterion Build internally ✦ NADOVO External
EU AI Act expertise from day 1 3-6 months onboarding before real expertise is built ✓ Immediately available
Regulatory updates Must be tracked yourself, often noticed too late ✓ Proactively informed
Practical experience from other companies Only your own perspective, no cross-comparison ✓ From many engagements
Availability for authority inquiries Depends on capacity and daily business ✓ Directly available
Downtime risk Vacation, illness, resignation ✓ No downtime risk
Compliance platform Separate license and setup required ✓ Directly included
Time to verifiable compliance Often 6-12 months until everything really runs ✓ From week 1
Ongoing training required Yes, at your own cost and time ✓ Included

Frequently Asked Questions

What you should also know

Does a company have to appoint an AI Compliance Officer?
The EU AI Act doesn't mandate it explicitly. But Art. 4 requires all companies to have verifiable AI competency, and Art. 26 defines operator obligations that someone must own. An external AI Compliance Officer takes over this responsibility in a structured way and gives you ready-to-show evidence at any time.
What does an internal AI Compliance Officer cost in comparison?
An internal full-time position costs from €60,000 per year plus recruiting, onboarding and ongoing training. NADOVO's external officer costs from €390 per month, platform license included, no fixed costs, no downtime risk from vacation or illness.
Is the AI Compliance Consulting a prerequisite?
Recommended, but not mandatory. Ideally you've built the foundation through the consulting. We can also start directly and handle onboarding as part of the first quarter.
What happens when we introduce new AI systems?
New AI systems are classified and added to the platform at the next review. For time-critical systems, you can use part of the 2 hours of monthly support to address them immediately.
What happens with regulatory changes to the EU AI Act?
We continuously monitor new requirements, delegated acts and EU Commission guidelines. When something changes, we inform you proactively and clarify in the next review what adjustments are needed.
How quickly can we start?
After the initial call and contract signing we're operational within a week. Existing data from the AI Compliance Consulting is taken over immediately.
